David Fincher has denied claims that either he or Sony have made plans to shoot the three books in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” trilogy back-to-back or are already in early prep on any sequels.
The “Zodiac” and “Fight Club” helmer told MTV News over the weekend that “No, there’s no plans for that right now. You got to make one that people want to see a sequel to before you can make a sequel”.
He also confirmed his intent to shoot and set the film in Sweden, specifically “Stockholm. Uppsala. In the north”. There is also no plans to move the setting to the U.S. either – “You have to. What, are you going to put it in Seattle?… Seattle noir [laughter]”.
