Gibson Helms “Chameleon” Recession Thriller

Richard Gibson (“A Message From Fallujah”) is set to direct an adaptation of Richard Hains’ 2006 financial thriller “Chameleon” reports Variety.

The story centers on a bond trader in Manhattan who’s forced to flee after hatching a scheme to corner the U.S. bond market by buying $15 billion in bonds.

The film will be set amid the current global financial crisis and will be produced in Australia to use the rebate and tax incentive programs introduced by the government last year.

Mac Gudgeon is adapting the script while Hains and Mark Pennell are producing.
