Mel Gibson and Kate Bosworth are set to star in the Michael Polish-directed action thriller “Force of Nature” for Emmett/Furla Films.
The story centers on a cop who must protect the remaining residents of a building in the midst of a hurricane evacuation while violent criminals attempt to pull off a mysterious heist within the building.
Gibson plays the stubborn retired detective who refuses to evacuate and fights back when the thieves show up at his doorstep.
Cory Miller penned the script while Luillo Ruiz, Randall Emmett and George Furla will produce and filming begins July 19th in Puerto Rico.
The news follows on from Gibson becoming attached to “Fatman” in which he plays a Santa Claus being targeted by an assassin. Gibson is also working on a remake of “The Wild Bunch” which he intends to direct.
