Ghibli’s “Kaguya” Scores Voice Cast, U.S. Date

Chloe Grace Moretz (“Kick Ass,” “Carrie”) will voice the title character for the English dub of Isao Takahata’s “The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya,” the latest animated feature from Studio Ghibli.

James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Darren Criss, Lucy Liu, Beau Bridges, James Marsden, Oliver Platt, Daniel Dae Kim, and Dean Cain have also signed up for the film.

The story follows a tiny girl, found in a bamboo stalk, who grows into an exquisite young lady raised by an old bamboo cutter and his wife. She enthralls all who encounter her and ultimately she must face her secret fate.

GKIDS is currently targeting an October 17th release date in the United States.
