Australian filmmaker Jonathan Teplitzky (“Burning Man,” “The Railway Man”) has announced that he and writer Chris Nyst are re-teaming for another crime film in the vein of their previous collaboration – 2003’s “Gettin’ Square”.
Speaking to Graffiti With Punctuation in an upcoming interview ahead of the release of his new film “Churchill,” Teplitzky says the plan is to film in July at the moment:
“I’m actually in the very early stages of prepping a film, which we’re shooting on the Gold Coast, which is written by the same writer as ‘Gettin’ Square’ so it’s a bit of crime comedy that we’re just starting to put together.”
Sam Worthington, David Wenham and Timothy Spall starred in “Gettin’ Square” which follows a reformed prisoner trying to make a life as a cook, only for some old scores and acquaintances of his to prove to him that it’s harder to do so than he expected.
“Churchill” opens in June.
