Epix has set a Sunday, August 13th premiere date for “Get Shorty,” the upcoming ten-episode dark comedy series based on Elmore Leonard’s best-selling 1990 novel.
Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Megan Stevenson, Sean Bridgers, Lidia Porto, Carolyn Dodd, Goya Robles and Lucy Walters star in the story of a hitman who tries to become a movie producer to leave his past and win back his recently-estranged family.
Davey Holmes (“Shameless,” “In Treatment”) executive produces with Allen Coulter (“The Sopranos,” “Damages”) directing the first episode.
Meanwhile, Syfy has confirmed that its Superman prequel series “Krypton” won’t be hitting the network until sometime in 2018.
“Krypton” follows Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), as he fights to restore honour to the disgraced House of El and pull his world from the brink of chaos.
