George Eads will apparently exit CBS’ “MacGyver” reboot, on which he has been the second lead character since the pilot.
The former “CSI” alum reportedly had an altercation in October and stormed off the show’s Atlanta set despite several hours of production remaining for the day. Eads is currently filming the action-drama with his final episode slated to air sometime in 2019.
Eads has been No. 2 on the call sheet playing Jack Dalton, partner and old army buddy of MacGyver (Lucas Till). He was the first actor cast in the reboot and his character will be written out, allowing the actor to spend more time with his young daughter in Los Angeles.
The show is currently in the midst of airing its third season. No word as yet on a potential replacement actor or character.
