As part of its GamesCom presentation third week, Ubisoft has released new trailers for their upcoming major titles including “Watch Dogs 2,” “Ghost Recon Wildlands,” “South Park: The Fractured But Whole,” “For Honor” and “Steep”.
The “Watch Dogs 2” trailer puts the focus on the game’s online co-operative mode as well as PvP multiplayer activities such as invasions and bounty hunts. All of these are seamlessly woven into the overall single-player experience and can happen during regular campaign play with just an invite.
Set around the San Francisco Bay Area, the open world action-adventure game follows a brilliant hacker trying to shut down ctOS 2.0 which is being used to silently control everyday citizens. The game hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 15th.
The “Ghost Recon Wildlands” trailer shows customization options available for characters and weapons. The game itself is set in Bolivia in a reactive environment where every choice you make has far reaching consequences. Play every mission the way you want from a more stealthy approach to a balls out guns blazing one in Ubisoft’s largest action-adventure open world to date. It will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on March 7th next year.
With “South Park: The Fractured But Whole” we get a more regular gameplay trailer showing off the superhero-themed sequel which has a whole new combat system along with a more elaborate story than the first. It will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on December 6th.
An age-old war rages between three legendary factions in “For Honor” with a new gameplay trailer showcasing the distinct skills of the Vikings, Samurai, and Knights – and a bit about what each of these factions fight for. It will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on February 14th next year.
Finally there’s the trailer for the new winter sports game first announced at E3. Set in the massive open world of the Alps, “Steep” allows you to go solo or drop in side by side with other players and you pull off the most insane stunts ever captured on custom trails. No release date has yet been set.
