Well that was fast. HBO has renewed its fantasy series “Game of Thrones” after airing only one episode which scored 4.2 million viewers over three airings on its first night (click here for more details).
The show’s second season will likely debut next year and be based on George R.R. Martin’s second
book in his series “A Clash of Kings”.
The renewal was likely considering not just the expense of creating the series, but the potential for international sales and disc sales which are already said to look extremely promising.
