Game News: Deus Ex, Half-Life 3, Gamestop

Deus Ex: Universe
Eidos Montreal have confirmed the next chapter in the series, following the acclaimed “Deus Ex: Human Revolution,” will go by the title “Deus Ex: Universe”.

However, it won’t be one game – it’ll be “an ongoing, expanding and connected game world built across a generation of core games.” This basically means several connected Deus Ex games on PC and next gen consoles, mobile games, and expansion into other media.

The first next-gen game in the series is already in production with much of the team behind Human Revolution returning. A Director’s Cut of “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” will hit Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U on October 22nd.

Half-Life 3
Valve have reportedly filed a trademark for the long-awaited “Half-Life 3” but have offered no other information beyond the title.

Over 12 million copies of predecessor, the critically acclaimed “Half-Life 2,” have been sold since it debuted back in 2004. [Source: NeoGaf]

In preparation for the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One, GameStop is planning to hire a whopping 17,000 extra employees across the United States for the holiday season.

The company regularly experiences a spike in activity during the holiday season as big new releases and gift shopping rise. The debut of two new consoles though will make things extra busy. [Source: GameStop]
