Game News: Arkham, Journey, PS4, Mass

Batman: Arkham Knight
Jason Todd himself, The Red Hood, is set to serve as a playable character in the upcoming “Batman: Arkham Knight” in missions exclusive to US gamers who preorder at Gamestop.

The missions will be part of an exclusive story mode, alongside the already announced story missions for Harley Quinn. As with all Arkham characters, he’s getting a makeover which in this case is more akin to his New 52 look. [Source: ]

Journey & The Unfinished Swan
A list of playable titles at Gamescom 2014 in Germany has allegedly confirmed that two of the most acclaimed PS3 indie games are coming to the Playstation 4 later this year – “Journey” and “The Unfinished Swan”. If so they will likely be updated to run at 1080p/60fps. [Source: Segment Next]

A verified employee from Sony appeared on the PlayStation 4 subreddit recently to talk about upcoming features for the console. Mass Effect 4
Though still years away from release, BioWare released some new information about the fourth “Mass Effect” game at their recent San Diego Comic-Con panel. Right off the bat they confirmed it will be next gen only (PC, PS4, XB1)

The main character will be human, but not Commander Shephard. The new Mass Effect timeline will be set during Shepard’s lifetime, but potentially in a different galaxy. The focus is much more on exploration than combat this time out.

The six-wheeled Mako vehicle from the first game will return, albeit revamped and much faster along with being customisable. Two customisable armour designs for the game’s protagonist, in both male and female forms, were shown during the presentation. [Source: Trusted Reviews]
