Batman: Arkham Knight
The day before its release, the launch trailer for Rocksteady Studios’ “Batman: Arkham Knight” has been posted by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and once again suggests that Bruce Wayne/Batman will meet his maker in the title which follows on directly from the events of 2011’s “Batman: Arkham City”. The story sees Batman and his fellow crime fighters take on the Scarecrow and the army of super villains he’s assembled to take down the Dark Knight. “Batman: Arkham Knight” will be released June 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
Todd Howard, the director of the fourth “Fallout” game, says that the game will run at 1080p and 30fps “on everything”. By the comments it’s expected he’s referring only to consoles, not PC’s which should be variable depending upon the power of one’s system. Howard does confirm there will be mod support for the PC versions from early 2016. The game itself hits PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 10th. [Source: Digital Spy]
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
After a run of either delayed or disastrous PC launches for the “Assassin’s Creed” series, Ubisoft are making it a priority to make the PC port for the new game “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” work well. However that means that the game will not be hitting PCs until sometime after the console launch on October 23rd.
Creative Director Marc-Alexis Cote tells PC Gamer: “We’ve got an internal team that’s dedicated to the PC version, and one of the things that I’m happy about is that we’re really taking our time with the PC version to really make it shine. We want the game to really work well on the PC on day one, which is why it’s not the same launch [date] as the Xbox One and the PS4 versions. It will come a bit later in the fall, but I think it will be worth the wait. We’re working really hard on optimizing the game, making it run smoother on a wider range of PCs.”
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Following on from the new gameplay trailer revealed last week, Square Enix has released an extended gameplay video for the upcoming reboot’s sequel “Rise of the Tomb Raider” which gets a timed exclusive release on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10th. In the clip, Lara Croft takes on the Siberian wilderness as she seeks to unravel the mystery of a Lost City.
