Gambit Shoots In New Orleans From March

The Channing Tatum-led “Gambit” film, a spin-off of 20th Century Fox’s “X-Men” franchise, is slated to begin filming in New Orleans this March says WGNO.

The site claims the production is currently holding casting calls for extras with filming taking place largely in the Hollywood South area of the city.

The “X-Men” solo film was originally going to begin filming in November last year, but Rupert Wyatt’s unexpected exit from the project in September delayed it with Doug Liman eventually coming onboard.

The film, which also stars Lea Seydoux, is still currently targeting an October release, though it’s widely expected that will be pushed back to Spring 2017.
