“Gambit” Currently Slated For March Shoot

Principal photography on Fox and Marvel’s “Gambit” is reportedly back on track with filming now scheduled to begin in March in New Orleans according to both the city and state’s film offices.

The project first planned to shoot in Fall 2015 before being beset by production delays. Channing Tatum remains onboard as the titular Cajun-born mutant with the power of kinetic energy manipulation. Lizzy Caplan is also reportedly onboard.

That Hashtag Show has revealed a new casting breakdown from the film including ‘Butler’ – a supporting character 30-40 years old dubbed a “villain with metrosexual charm.” Further details suggest the character is Donyell Taylor (aka. Bandit and Night Thrasher) – a mutant with the ability to create a bioelectrical charge.

Filming under the working title of “Forevermore,” Gore Verbinski will direct the project which will be shot over 70 days and is slated to open February 14th 2019 assuming the eventual closing of the Disney-Fox deal doesn’t shift it.
