‘Galactica’ Producers Go West In “Hangtown”

“Battlestar Galactica” show runner Ron Moore and “Caprica” writer Matt Roberts have sold the western pitch “Hangtown” to ABC and Sony Pictures TV reports Deadline.

Set in the early 1900s in a frontier town that’s begun rapidly expanding with the coming of the railroad, the story follows three characters – an instinctual crime solving marshal, a forensic specialising young Doctor from the East Coast, and a young female author of Wild West crime novels.

Each week, the trio team up to solve crimes in the lawless town. Moore is producing.
