Paramount Pictures has pushed back two Hasbro-originating action film titles, a move that was expected as neither is close to beginning production.
The third “G.I. Joe” film was originally slated for a March 27th 2020 release, but has now been moved back to an October 16th 2020 opening. At the same time, the “Micronauts” film which was in that October slot is now set to debut on June 4th 2021.
D.J. Caruso has been rumored to direct the new “G.I. Joe” which boasts a script by Josh Appelbaum and Aaron Berg. That said, no cast is attached at this time. The first two films grossed $678.1 million globally.
