FX released a new look at the forthcoming second season of “American Crime Story,” its true crime anthology series. This season, subtitled “The Assassination of Gianni Versace,” is once again executive produced by Ryan Murphy.
Here the focus is on the untimely murder of world-renowned Italian fashion icon Gianni Versace in Miami in 1997 by spree-killer Andrew Cunanan. While the first season dealt with racial issues, the second will deal with the rampant homophobia in American culture in the early 1990s.
Edgar Ramirez, Penelope Cruz, Darren Criss and Ricky Martin star in the new season which will premiere January 18th.
