The TV series adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis’ comic “Powers” continues to hit stumbling blocks at FX reports TG Daily.
The comic centers on a pair of detectives in a special division which investigates superhero oriented crimes.
FX executives saw the pilot before the end of the year and decided not to pick it up, with scribe Chuck Eglee ordered to rewrite significant portions of the show to be shot again. Right now they’re deciding on whether to go forward with the reshoots.
FX president John Landgraf says it’s “proving really difficult” to deliver the kind of show they want – a superhero series with a tonality akin to “The Sopranos” or “Breaking Bad”.
