Netflix has revealed the key art and a December 9th premiere date for the second season of “Fuller House”. The first season of the series, a continuation of the 1980s sitcom “Full House,” premiered in February this year.
The show follows veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. her younger sister and aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), and D.J.’s lifelong best friend and fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona. Together, they all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys.
The first season received absolutely scathing critical reviews, but it was also an absolute ratings giant for the streaming service. While Netflix doesn’t release official figures, external agencies like Symphony Advanced Media have estimated that the show averaged 14.4 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic per episode in its first five weeks of release. That would put it up there with “The Walking Dead” as the most watched TV series of the entire year.
