Full Trailer: Cannes Sensation “Burning”

The talk out of Cannes this week is strong for a number of films from “BlacKkKlansman” to “Shoplifters,” but nothing is coming close to the outpouring of love that South Korean auteur Lee Chang-dong’s new effort – the unnerving psychological thriller “Burning”.

Korean star Yoo Ah In and “The Walking Dead” actor Steven Yeun star in this loose adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s 1992 New Yorker short story about a working-class delivery boy named Jongsu who falls for a mysterious young woman who claims to have grown up with him.

When she returns from a trip from Africa on the arm of a mysterious, rich playboy, Jongsu is hurt but steadily grows more obsessed with the pair of them. The film doesn’t have a U.S. distributor or release date at this point.
