With the TCA winter tour still going on in the United States this week, promo trailers for various new seasons and series keep popping up.
Today comes new spots for both the return of AMC’s “Breaking Bad” prequel “Better Call Saul” for its third season, and FOX’s spin-off event series “24: Legacy”. What links these two spots though is that both confirm the return of some familiar fan favorites that had previously only been rumored to appear.
First up, Giancarlo Esposito’s Gus Fring from “Breaking Bad” shows up in the ‘Saul’ spot which is a comedic spin on fast food commercials. Fring and his Los Pollos Hermanos chain factor seemingly factor into the new season, but it’s not clear how yet. It premieres sometime in the Spring.
Meanwhile the “24: Legacy” trailer confirms that Carlos Bernard’s Tony Almeida is back for the new episodes. In the new series, which returns February 5th, Tony’s return is somehow tied to Miranda Otto’s CTU agent leading character.
