Twenty-one years after the final episode aired, the surviving main cast of iconic 1990s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” have posed together for a photo at an unknown event.
Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton), Will Smith (Will), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Vivian no. 2), and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey) posed for the shot which Ribeiro posted on his Instagram account along with the caption: “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”
Avery, who played Uncle Phil, passed away in 2013 at age 68 following complications with heart surgery. The original series debuted in 1990 and ran for six seasons on NBC.
They aren’t the only TV cast posing for photos this week as the new faces of CBS All Access’ “Star Trek Discovery” got together in a restaurant in-between filming and took a picture of themselves out of their uniforms and make-up.
The shot includes Jason Isaacs, Michelle Yeoh, Chris Obi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Green’s husband Kenric, Doug Jones, James Frain and Shazad Latif. The series is still very much in the midst of production of its first season which will debut later this year.
