MPI Media Group, XYZ Films and Pellicola of Amsterdam will co-produce Richard Raaphorst’s “Frankenstein’s Army” reports Variety.
Set at the end of World War II, the story follows Russian soldiers who find the journal of Dr. Frankenstein in a secret Nazi lab they uncover as they push into eastern Germany.
The soldiers use his work to assemble an army of super soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades. MPI/Dark Sky Films will distribute the film in the United States.
Todd Brown, Nick Jongerius and Daniel Koefoed will produce. Shooting kicks off this spring in Prague and Amsterdam.
