Frances Mcdormand Is God In Good Omens

Oscar winner Frances McDormand has been cast as the voice of God in Amazon’s “Good Omens,” the upcoming six-episode event series adaptation of the famed Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett 1990 supernatural fantasy novel.

The series sees a fussy Angel (Michael Sheen) and a loose-living Demon (David Tennant), both of whom have become overly fond of life on Earth, find themselves forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon.

Trouble is they’ve lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware he’s meant to bring upon the end of days, forcing them to embark on an adventure to find him.

McDormand joins a cast that includes Anna Maxwell Martin as Hell’s army leader Beelzebub, Jon Hamm as the archangel Gabriel, Mireille Enos as the horseman War, and Nick Offerman as the U.S. Ambassador.

A premiere date has yet to be announced.
