Foxcatcher Delayed Until 2014

Sony Pictures Classics have pushed back the release of Bennett Miller’s “Foxcatcher” until an unspecified date in 2014, taking the true story drama out of awards contention.

The choice was reportedly made by the filmmakers themselves, not the distributor who said in an official statement that they: “support the decision of the filmmakers to allow for more time to finish the film.”

The film follows the true story of Olympic Wrestling Champion brothers Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) and Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo) and their relationship with the eccentric John du Pont (Steve Carell), heir to the du Pont Chemical fortune that led to a murder.
