Fox Wins Rights To “Vampire Uprising”

20th Century Fox has won a bidding war for the film rights to Raymond Villareal’s novel “A People’s History of the Vampire Uprising,” which is described as a vampire version of “World War Z”.

The fictitious oral history deals with the appearance, assimilation and ultimately epic, violent confrontation of vampires (who now prefer being called the Gloamings) with the human race.

Like the “World War Z” novel, the book is told from multiple points of view and spans a considerable time period. Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen will produce.
