Fox Skips Comic Con Over Piracy Fears

20th Century Fox has announced that it will not showcase its upcoming movie releases in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year.

The studio reportedly says it feels it cannot prevent the piracy of trailers and footage routinely screened for fans in attendance. Fox was most likely to have shown glimpses of “Assassins Creed” and “Maze Runner: The Death Cure”.

Disney is also said to be considering pulling out of their regular showcase, though a rep for the studio has denied the claim. Last year came notable leaks of “Deadpool,” “X-Men: Apocalypse” and “Suicide Squad” footage – two of the three ending up having to release proper versions online.
