20th Century Fox has shuffled around its release date schedule and set aside dates for six unannounced films based on Marvel Comics properties.
Fox has three Marvel-inspired films slated for next year – “X-Men: The New Mutants” on April 13th, “Deadpool 2” on June 1st and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” on November 2nd.
They’ve now set aside dates for the following years with June 7th & November 22nd in 2019; March 13th, June 26th & October 2nd in 2020; and March 5th 2021 all set for projects. A third “Deadpool” and an “X-Force” film seem likely to fill two of those slots.
The studio has also set a March 1st 2019 release date for “Logan” director James Mangold’s corrupt NYPD cop thriller “The Force” based on the novel by Don Winslow. Ridley Scott, Michael Schaefer and Shane Salerno are slated to produce the project with David Mamet adapting the script.
