Fox Ponders A “World Without Us”

Fox has landed film rights to Alan Weisman’s environmental non-fiction book “The World Without Us” says The Hollywood Reporter.

The book took on the idea of life on Earth if humans were suddenly to disappear and the studio will play a fictional feature using the book’s science, possibly showing an event that would lead to mankind vanishing.

The studio plans to turn it into a tentpole feature for “I Am Legend” duo Mark Protosevich to write and Francis Lawrence to direct.
