Fox Planning Moses Biopic

“The Ten Commandments” is getting an unofficial reboot with 20th Century Fox looking into a new biopic about the life of Moses says Variety.

The story will follow Moses from his near death as an infant to his adoption into the Egyptian royal family, his defiance of the Pharaoh and deliverance of the Hebrews from enslavement.

Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, who recently adapted Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick” into a “300”-esque stylised action piece for “Wanted” helmer Timur Bekmambetov at Universal, are writing the script and expected to give the story a similar treatment evoking biopic epics like “Braveheart”.

Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark will produce.
