Fox has ordered five new shows for next season and has renewed ‘on the bubble’ shows “Lie to Me” and “Human Target” says The Live Feed.
The new shows include the cop drama “RideAlong” about a rogue cowboy cop teaming with Chicago’s first female police chief to clean up the streets, and the drama “Midland” about a con man in the oil industry.
The remaining three are single-camera comedies – single parent-themed “Keep Hope Alive”, male relationship-themed “Traffic Light”, and the Will Arnett-led rich prick falls for hippie tale “Running Wilde”.
Both ‘Lie’ and ‘Target’ will get a further 13 episodes, both with new showrunners, and aren’t expected to go beyond that. Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur drama “Terra Nova” may also be slotted in sometime before the upfronts next week.
