Fox Gets “Monuments,” Paramount Nabs “Adam”

Sony Pictures has turned to 20th Century Fox to help co-finance and distribute George Clooney’s World War II art-heist feature “Monuments Men” says The Hollywood Reporter.

Fox will pick up half the financing on the $50+ million feature, and distribute it internationally. Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Bill Murray are attached to the film that involves a plot to protect stolen art from destruction by the Nazis.

Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures has closed a deal to acquire T.S. Nowlin’s script “Our Name Is Adam” says Deadline.

Tom Cruise stars as an astronaut who travels back in time and works with his younger self. Cruise’s Skydance Productions will partner with the studio on the film.
