Fox 2000 Develops “Liberty Road,” “S.T.A.G.S.”

Fox 2000 has gone on a bit of a development spree with word this week they’re developing the World War II action movie “Liberty Road” based on the Battle at Bastogne in Belgium in 1944.

“Bridge of Spies” scribe Matt Charman will oversee the writers, Gavin James and Neil Widener, who will use George Koskimaki’s “The Battered Bastards of Bastogne” book which deals with what would turn out to be the final major Nazi offensive of the war.

Charman is also attached to produce alongside Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger.

Meanwhile, Fox 2000 and Chernin Entertainment are teaming up to adapt M.A. Bennett’s debut novel “S.T.A.G.S.” Dubbed “Battle Royale meets Get Out,” the story is set at an exclusive British boarding school.

Invited by a group of the school’s elite on a weekend of hunting, the invitees soon realise they’re the ones being hunted.
