Kelly Reilly (“Flight”), Michael Irby (“Almost Human”), Abigail Spencer (“Mad Men”) and Leven Rambin (“Two Night Stand”) have all scored supporting roles in the upcoming second season of HBO’s “True Detective”.
The quartet have either signed, or are in the final stages of discussions, to join the new season which revolves around three cops and a criminal who team to unravel a conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.
Reilly will play a series regular named Morgan and described only as ‘self-obsessed’, Spencer will play a sexual assault survivor, Irby will play the partner of the female cop, and Rambin will play a pretty girl and former addict.
The first table read for the season takes place tomorrow. Reilly and Spencer were both on the short list to play the female lead, a role that is tipped to be going to Rachel McAdams.
