While production on the fourth season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” doesn’t begin for a little while yet, and the episodes themselves are unlikely to air until 2021, a new report indicates the next season is seeking to fill four character roles – three teenagers and one adult – who will play a key part in the new season.
TV Line reports all four parts are male. The adult figures “prominently in a certain storyline set far, far away from Hawkins” which suggests it could well be a Russian character given the third season finale’s events. As for the teenagers, they are seeking actors to play a metalhead, an entitled jock and a stoned surfer type.
Co-creator Matt Duffer previously discussed the new season saying: “I think the biggest thing that’s going to happen is it’s going to open up a little bit, not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing plotlines into areas outside of Hawkins.”
