Forest Whitaker Finds “Treasure” In China

Forest Whitaker is in talks to join the indie feature “Little Treasure” says Variety.

The follows an American couple who move to China (the wife’s homeland) and deal with “prejudices, humor, cultural differences and self-discovery”. A street kid also comes into their lives and shakes things up.

Michael D. Olmos directs from a script by Josh Goldstein (“Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Jamie Foxx Show”).

Filming kicks off next month in Shanghai.
