It’s official. With Marvel Studios opting out of a Hall H presentation at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, their owner Disney Pictures isn’t willing to secede the ‘King of the Con’ title quite so easily to Warners and their planned “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” presentation.
As a result, Disney’s other crown jewel property Lucasfilm has set a “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” for the giant event with the panel to take place on Friday July 10th. Producer Kathleen Kennedy, director J.J. Abrams, and writer Lawrence Kasdan will be in attendance along with ‘special guests’ to provide a special look at Episode VII.
Exclusive “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” products will also be onhand at SDCC which runs from July 9th-12th this year in San Diego.
It’s expected Abrams will debut the next trailer for ‘The Force Awakens’ either at Comic-Con or more likely at Disney’s D23 Expo in August.
