Not unsurprisingly, Disney’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has scored a PG-13 rating just several weeks ahead of its release. The MPAA has given the rating for “sci-fi action violence”.
All of the “Star Wars” films bar 2005’s “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” have been rated PG. ‘Sith’ also scored a PG-13 for “sci-fi violence and some intense images”. Eight of 2015’s top ten earning films were also rated PG-13.
Next up, J.J. Abrams has posted a new video for Omaze’s ‘Force for Change’ initiative with the clip also teasing a potential Mark Hamill appearance next week.
Finally, Disney has debuted a new ‘Force Awakens’-themed “Disney Infinity” game trailer. The only playable characters in the Infinity version of the film are newcomers Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren but the trailer suggests other familiar faces will appear as well including BB-8, Han Solo and Chewbacca.
The ‘Force Awakens’ playset will be released the same day as the film – December 18th.
