Force Awakens Panel To Live Stream

Might we be seeing the second “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer in about two days?

The “Star Wars Celebration” convention kicks off in Anaheim shortly, but the big thing everyone will want to hear about is the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” panel on Thursday morning. Today, the official social media accounts for the franchise have confirmed that the ‘Force Awakens’ panel will be live-streamed over on StarWars.com.

The big surprise though? It has also been confirmed (via Twitter) that, unlike Comic Con panels, any exclusive footage debuting at the panel will be a part of the live stream. It will NOT be cut or blacked out.

So if the new trailer is to debut at the ‘Force Awakens’ panel, those watching the live stream online will be seeing it premiere at the same time as those at the actual convention. It would also suggest that if the trailer does premiere there, Disney & Lucasfilm will have an official copy online hopefully within minutes.

Director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy will be on hand for the panel which kicks off at 10am US-PST on Thursday. Verizon and StarWars.com are also said to be delivering 30-plus hours of live streamed content during the convention including over a dozen panels and events.
