Jane Fonda and Catherine Keener have joined the cast of Bruce Beresford’s multigenerational indie drama “Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding” for BCDF Pictures reports Reuters.
Christina Mengert and Joseph Muszynski’s script centers on a conservative lawyer (Keener) who takes her son and daughter to the house of their estranged, hippie grandmother (Fonda) in Woodstock after her husband leaves her. They each find love in unexpected places.
Beresford (“Driving Miss Daisy,” “Mao’s Last Dancer”) was also recently attached to helm the Ada Lovelace period biopic “Enchantress of Numbers”. This will be Fonda’s first film project since 2007’s “Georgia Rule”.
Filming kicks off this July in New York’s Hudson River Valley.
