“Eddie the Eagle” and “Sunshine on Leith” director Dexter Fletcher has replaced Bryan Singer at the helm of the Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” reports Deadline.
Production will resume next week with Fletcher directing the last two weeks of shooting and handling the film’s post-production. Rami Malek, Joe Mazzello, Ben Hardy, and Gwilym Lee star in the film which will cover a key period in the band’s history.
The hiring comes after Bryan Singer was fired from the production earlier this week. Singer didn’t show up on the set after the Thanksgiving break and, despite the change, the film is still on track for a Christmas Day 2018 release.
