Flash Producers On Supergirl, Easter Eggs

Following a flurry of rumors last week, “Arrow” and “The Flash” producer Greg Berlanti has confirmed that a “Supergirl” TV series is in development, but it’s still in the earliest stages and not as far along as others have suggested. He tells CBR:

“We’re just starting to work on it. We haven’t gone to the networks yet, so. I’ll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment.”

Speaking of DC superheroes, “The Flash” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg appeared at The CW’s PaleyFest Fall TV Preview and revealed that one reference to Superman’s world was originally squeezed into the pilot – an easter egg they were quick to remove. He tells the outlet:

“There was actually a crazy big one where we looked at each other and were like, ‘We can’t do that! The feature people will hunt us down.’ The Flash was running down the street and he literally ran past Luther Corp. They were all sitting there like, ‘Is it okay?’ and we were like, ‘No, you can’t do that!’.”
