The CW is developing a third DC Comics superhero series set within the same linked universe that “The Flash” and “Arrow” occupy says Deadline.
The currently untitled project, which is aiming to debut next season, would turn several key guest and recurring stars from both shows into new series regulars along with incorporating three major DC Comics characters who have never been in a television series before.
Those crossing over from existing shows include Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom) and Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/Canary) from “Arrow”, and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm) and Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) from “The Flash”.
Other characters will presumably crossover as well, most likely the other half of Firestorm played by Robbie Amell as this is being dubbed a superhero team-up show. Considering events of this season on “Arrow,” how Lotz will return is unclear.
Like they do with “Arrow” and “The Flash”, Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim will produce the series.
