Mike Flanagan (“Oculus,” “Absentia”) is set to direct and Annalise Basso (“The Red Road,” “Oculus”) is set to star in the sequel to the horror thriller “Ouija” at Universal, Blumhouse, Platinum Dunes and Hasbro
The first film revolved around a group of friends fighting the supernatural forces behind the ancient spirit board game. Said board will be at the center of this film as well.
Flanagan will also co-write the script with Jeff Howard while Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing. The film is currently targeting an October 21st 2016 release.
A sequel isn’t surprising – the first film cost just $5 million to make and made more than $100 million worldwide.
