Disney has released five new character posters for the first live-action “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” which debuts November 12th on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
It’s also been revealed that Disney will not be providing critics with screeners beforehand, so reviews for the first episode won’t be available until after its aired. The reason this is being done is that the premiere reportedly contains a big spoiler they’re trying to protect at all costs.
“The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
Pedro Pascal will star as the titular character and will be joined by Gina Carano as former Rebel Shock Trooper Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as bounty hunter guild leader Greef along with Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Taika Waititi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte.
Jon Favreau serves as executive producer and showrunner for the series with Dave Filoni, Deborah Chow, Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi helming episodes.
