First Trailer: Zack Snyder’s “Justice League”

We had a Comic Con sneak peek clip last year made just a few weeks into production, but the first true trailer for Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” film has arrived. The new trailer consists of almost all new footage and plenty of visual effects heavy shots.

There’s no clear shot of the villain Steppenwolf, though the winged aerotrooper army of Apokolips can be seen. No sign of Superman either, though Lois Lane (Amy Adams) briefly appears along with Commissioner Gordon (J.K. Simmons), Queen Mera (Amber Heard), Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) and Dr. Silas Stone (Joe Morton).

All the heroes get time to shine in the clip, with Momoa looking the likely scene stealer and playing off Affleck’s Batman well. The film also actually makes use of some color, opting away from the desaturated ‘Dawn of Justice’ and “Man of Steel” look in a few scenes – a welcome change.

“Justice League” opens in cinemas on November 17th.
