First Trailer: Mel Gibson’s “Hacksaw Ridge”

Shot in Australia throughout much of last year, Mel Gibson returns to directing with the WWII tale “Hacksaw Ridge” with the first trailer for the film released today.

Andrew Garfield stars as conscientious objector Desmond Doss who, during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun and was the first conscientious objector to ever earn the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Vince Vaughn, Hugo Weaving, Richard Roxburgh, Rachel Griffiths, Teresa Palmer, Luke Bracey, and Sam Worthington also star in the film which will premiere at the Venice Film Festival before opening everywhere on November 4th.
