First Trailer: Jim Jarmusch’s “Paterson”

Jim Jarmusch delivers one of the more beautiful quiet films of the year with “Paterson,” a small-scale drama which released its first trailer today.

The story follows a poetry-writing New Jersey bus driver (Adam Driver) who follows a daily routine. We follow him in that routine over the course of a week and focus on the day-to-day subtle changes, relationship adjustments and the triumphs and defeats of daily life.

Golshifteh Farahani, Barry Shabaka Henley, Cliff Smith, Chasten Harmon, William Jackson Harper, Masatoshi Nagase co-star. “Paterson” was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palm Dog Award. It opens on December 28th.
