First Trailer For Netflix’s “Voyeur” Documentary

Netflix has premiered the first trailer for “Voyeur,” it’s upcoming documentary feature based on journalist Gay Talese’s research and penning of the famed non-fiction work “The Voyeur’s Motel”.

That book chronicled a Colorado voyeur named Gerald Foos who built and operated a motel designed to allow him to watch guests having sex through ceiling vents. He was also apparently complicit in a murder which occurred when he flushed the drugs of a dealer down the toilet and that dealer blamed his girlfriend and strangled her.

Sam Mendes was slated to direct a narrative film adaptation of the story for Dreamworks, but the existence of the doco effectively ended that deal before it could go into production. Apparently the doco will touch upon that issue as well.
