Disney has premiered the trailer for “Lady and the Tramp,” its live-action re-telling of the 1955 animated classic which will premiere exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service on November 12th.
The film, based on the 1955 feature about pooches in love, uses real dogs to tell the story of a pampered cocker spaniel named Lady (Tessa Thompson) belonging to a well-to-do family, and Tramp (Justin Theroux), a streetwise mutt.
When Tramp saves Lady from danger, he tries to teach her that there’s more to life than the inside of a house. Soon love blossoms. The film also stars Sam Elliott as wise bloodhound Trusty, Janelle Monae as the fluffy Peg, Ashley Jensen as Scottish terrier Jock, Benedict Wong as bulldog Bull, and Kiersey Clemons as Lady’s human owner Darling.
